Hurricane Katrina coverage
During Hurricane Katrina's strike on the gulf coast, I worked closely with print and online teams to help provide the most comprehensive coverage for the residents, and readers of Sun-Herald.com. This effort included providing creative direction for breaking news and multimedia components, as well as the implementation of entirely new communication vehicles (photo blogs, message boards) on Sun-Herald.com's site.
2005 Online Journalism Award nominee
Special multimedia portrait of U.S. Marines and a Navy Corpsman who lost their lives in an Iraqi ambush on April 6, 2004. This project was a collaboration between myself, staff members of the Philadelphia Inquirer, and Knight Ridder's Washington Bureau, including Joe Galloway and David Swanson.
